I'm experiencing my first Zune Smart DJ List with the new Zune 4.0 software that I installed this morning.  Smart DJ List is going to be a great addition to my day.  Whenever I'm not in Zune Software I'm listening to a Pandora station, so it will be interesting how the Smart DJ feature will compare with Pandora. 

I know for starters that a distinct Smart DJ advantage over Pandora is that the music in Smart DJ is selected from my collection and the Zune Marketplace.  So Zune Pass subscribers will not only enjoy the new music discovery, but instant access to replay or download the song, album or artist.

While writing this I've been investigating my John Williams Jaws seeded Smart DJ list a bit and am seeing that at around 90% of the music being played is from my own collection, with very little coming from Zune Pass Marketplace content.  So we'll see how the discovery aspect plays out or if it's possible to modify that ratio.

Still, cool new Zune Mini Player (at least I think it's new.)
